You're right, of course, Annie. The only drawback I ever saw in them was the tendency of the lids to eventually rust on the inside. My home-made generator sits on a quart mason jar as we speak! <grin> I like the plastic bottles for storage since they're light weight and won't break. They travel well. Mike D.
