OK -- if you wouldn't mind educating me a bit further......... You said that message was "2k for the plain text version, 3k for the fancy-text version, 3.4k for the headers". Why are you getting two different versions (plain text and fancy text) when I only sent one -- plain text? MA

It certainly made it, and only took about 8.4 kilobytes... 2k for the plain text version of the message, 3k for the fancy-text version, and, apparently, another 3.4k or so for all the headers that tell the interweb how and where to send the message.
