I need to make a new batch of CS and plan on having some fun with it. I'd
like the consistency that's thick enough so you can put some on and not have
to worry about it sliding off/around. So, starting with a little bit sounds
good and I'm glad you mentioned that it's powerful. I probably would've
started with more than I needed...

Lisa-  You might experiment with a very small amount first, it is very 
powerful.  It might depend on how thick you wanted it, and I would heat 
the water with the xanthan gum then dilute with CS.  Or I suppose you 
could heat gently on the stove.  Or perhaps just stirring it in and 
letting it sit would thicken it after a while, I haven't played around 
with it.
