Some of the folks you're thinking of are probably experimenting with current limiting and/or polarity switching. These attempts to make higher ppm CS with consistent small particle size will experience a tradeoff with longer production time. If you're using a straightforward setup with wires, batteries, and little or no effort to limit current, then what you're doing presently is just fine! One of the limits to the simple setups is you can't run it for too long, since the current runs away and you'll get larger particles. So carefully pull out your electrodes and wipe them off a few times during the run, and gently stir the CS before you put them back in to dissipate the "clouds" of silver particles. Don't try to push for super high ppm. It's not essential. Be well, Mike D.
