Golly you have been through the mill, haven't you sol? I moan if I get a small
dose of shingles!

I think I am the opposite to you, but have the same reaction. I mean,
*because* I am usually a very well (I wouldn't say 'fit' by any means,) person,
I notice immediately if something isn't right i.e. these palpitations I've been
having since starting the Vit C thing. I have had a sister-in-law just die of
ovarian cancer and my other sister-in-law died of bone cancer--both quite
young--and I am interested in NOT having this happen to me! That is, I am
always looking for something which is a cancer preventative as it is in my
immediate family too. This is why I started the Vit C thingy--also because I
am not a very healthy eater either, although I try. I also worry about C
upsetting the calcium/iodine balance, which I believe high doses can.

I was pre-diabetic a few years ago, but now don't seem to be--at least I wasn't
on my last visit to the docs last year. The doctor told me to stop
self-testing as it was a waste of time because levels fluctuate so much.
Probably because my levels--even at their worst--were not that high. They were
6.7 at their highest I believe.

I do take iodine occasionally, and chlorella but apart from that just the Vit C
and of course, CS. Oh, and I have just started using natural Progesterone cream
which is supposed to balance all hormones including insulin etc., and is
supposed to be involved in protecting against cancer and other diseases. This
is not to be confused with progestin or progestergen, by the way, as these are
synthetic forms and are in things like HRT. and are NOT good. Anyway, I hope
you continue on in your quest to find something that will help you further, and
I wish you all the best. dee
