cs in nebulizer?

Does anyone know if it is safe to use cs in a nebulizer to breath it as a 
vaporized mist?  I have a 5 year old with occasional bronchitis that the doctor 
 perscribes proventil.  If he has a bacterial infection in his lungs would'nt 
cs help to  breath it?
