Hello Sharon, 1/4 tsp. of MSM is about 1,000 mg. One tsp. dissolved in 8 oz. of water has only a faintly bitter (and vaguely sweet) taste and is quite palatable, and the yield is 4,000 mg. Dissolving it in fruit juice might mask the flavor even further, though I don't bother. If he really can't tolerate the taste, buy empty capsules and make your own. Also, include vitamin C with the MSM regimen, plus lots, lots, lots of plain water 24/7.
