There was nothing different about Agent Orange but the unlooked for presence of a Dioxin byproduct not known to be a health problem factor till 1985 when it was brought to light with PCBs
 Every time you bleach something, you make some Dioxins.

2-chloro-s-triazine herbicides [like agent orange re-named and the domestic agent rainbow similar to it] and glyphosate-based Roundup are both in common use. After 1985 the Dioxins were removed from the 2-chloro-s-triazine herbicides. Agent Orange just had the highest Dioxin content of the rainbow sold to the public under several brand names

Not that any of them are "wonderful" now.
