It's not, and regardless, the molecules are too large to pass into the bloodstream or be absorbed. Unlike the AC used in commercial ones, with molecule size that readily passes into the bloodstream. At least from what I heard.

I will perfect a deodorant soon, it hasn't been a priority because I don't even wear it half the time. I use soap I make that kills odors, and lasts a long time.

The ebay site above claims that the potassium alum in their deodorant stones is "nothing to do with aluminum" however I also found this site which says potassium alum IS a salt of aluminum. http://en.allexperts.com/q/Chemistry-including-Biochemistry-1355/Potassium-Alum.htm Other sites claim the form of aluminum is what is important, and that the aluminum chlorhydrate used in antiperspirants is the "bad" kind and potassium alum is ok. I personally use a deodorant stone with potassium alum, but I do believe it IS aluminum.
