the water distiller you have found to produce really good colloidal
silver and the economical place or way to purchase? I am shopping for a
distiller and it is a real zoo if you have no contact with people who
have actually used distillers..
## The LOVE table top distillers are quite popular and inexpensive
+++What specific model do you have? Would you purchase that model again?
If you want a different model, which one? Do you use the water for making
CS only or for drinking and cooking also? Do you double distill, running
the same water through twice?
## I don't have one..store water for me for now.
But I do have a glass lab type water cooled distillation condenser should I
need to go independent.
That, an old pressure cooker and a small fire running rain water.....

## Use a conductivity meter or a circuit that monitors conductivity and
references it to voltage drop while keeping current constant
+++ OK, I'm essentially conductivity meter illiterate, although I do have
one and use it in rudimentary fashion in the process we are presently
employing........so what numbers am I looking for and when in the process
am I looking for those numbers?
## Keeping current constant, the conductivity rise rate is linear to about
30 uS where it starts to flatten out...meaning...at around 30 uS the
solubility limits of the water has been surpassed and most of what you are
making is particles formed FROM Ions using whatever they can find to make
those non ionic silver compounds.
The most available substances are Oxygen [Silver Oxide...brown to black]
and Carbon Dioxide [Photo Reactive going grey] in the air...the OH [-]
Hydroxyl Anion made along with the Silver ions [ Silver
Hydroxide...whitish] and...whatever water contaminants that were at below
reaction thresholds at under 30 uS. [A horse of many colors]
You' want to stay under that. The closer you get to 30 uS ..or go over
that..the more 'likely' something will go amiss.
Most people can do 20-25 uS, most of the time. [Note that's NOT "PPM"..if
you have a TDS/PPM meter go for a max of 10-15 ]
> Approximately what ppm is present when the Tyndale effect is first noted?
## Entirely variable but ideally around 13 uS conductivity..conditions
are almost never ideal.
+++ Thanks, that is what is happening although another earlier source
said to brew the CS all the way to 36, at which point we had a dark amber
muddy mess (which we are using as topical spray on skin).
>
> Will an aquarium air bubbler really decrease the conductivity of the
water to produce smaller particle CS?
## Depends on how much air you bubble as it actually raises conductivity
with the formation of Carbonic Acid made when CO2 is exposed to
water....Silver Carbonate is not very soluble, will increase the TE and be
photo reactive. [turns grey when exposed to light]
If you use a bubbler, just a few bubbles per second is plenty to do the
job of stirring without altering the water so much.
+++ Thanks - that rules out an apparently very popular CS generator with
its nervous bubbler. Do you stir your CS while brewing? Do you have some
sort of stirrer that maintains motion throughout the brewing process? Is
the stirrer homemade or purchased? If purchased, brand and model or if
homemade - HOW???
## I either use a thermal updraft system [warm rises, cool sinks] or a
magnetically coupled mechanical [Lab type] stirrer...for "me"..home
made. [ I make them at home by the dozen....for sale ]
It's also somewhat important to stir slow, especially if using a DC output
generator, to avoid impacting Hydrogen bubbles surface tension with
particles making a semi-conductive coating that grows another
bubble...resulting in that dreaded grey beard deposit on one of the
electrodes.

> Do different types of laser lights show a Tyndale effect at different ppm?
## TE has very little to do with PPM You can use it as an idea to fudge a
conductivity reading up or down to account for the presence of
unmeasurable particles as a small portion of the total silver.
+++ I see, well sorta. This may take a while to sink into this retired brain!
>
> Is there any way to determine the particle size of home brew CS?
## You can sorta "eyeball" it with a laser. "Velvety " appearance
indicates that your eye can't differentiate between photon streams from
particles that are narrower than the eyes resolution capabilities, even
as a round cylinder full of water acts like a strong magnifying glass.
It can tell you when to decant, leaving the larger particles on the bottom.
+++ WOW Thanks for the description - we monitered more closely and can
see the difference between "velvety" and what we labled "swimmy".
> Does anyone use a ppm meter and if so which one and what does it
really tell you AND is it really necessary?
## No meter measures PPM, they all work with conductivity...so get a
conductivity meter and cut out one layer of error.
+++ Thanks for the heads up on this fact also!
Ode
+++ OK. Next set of questions.
+++Do ya'll just piece this info together or is there a reference online
that covers what you have found works for making CS?
#### http://silver-lightning.com/theory.html [ A lot of what's there is
from here ]
+++Did you make your generator or purchase?
### I make my own, but then, I've made about 10,000 of them so far. [With a
satisfaction guarantee, return for full refund including shipping for no
reason at all...about 20 have come back over the past ten years, most of
them unused ]
+++If purchased - which one and would you purchase that one again?
## I have a few, most are expensive junk.
The best I have is the Smart-Silver from Custom Electronics LLC [Fred
Sprague] costing around $300 but no longer made. A cool micro computer run
deal. [ And Fred copied my magnetic stirrer after I sent him one to try
out....solved a problem he'd been trying to figure out for 5 years ]
The Silvergen sg6 is a decent unit for a decent price
I don't have one, but the Colloid-Master 777 gets good press and is a
decent deal.
+++If home made, what materials did you employ and how is it rigged? (If
you would be so kind to share the info - hubby does the electronics and I
do the communicating - so this info would not be lost in a black hole.)
## The first one, a bread board and many hours of soldering components and
wires and tweeking the values while throwing away hundreds of batches...now
surface mount robotic assembly on a custom PC board. [Looks like a little
computer motherboard]
"Plug n' Play "
Constant current, voltage drop referenced auto off at around 20 uS with a
bypass if you can't get good water ["Bad" CS is better than no CS] or if
you want to make it stronger, Slow frequency square wave AC or DC
selectable output. Input range from 10 to 36 volts AC or DC....7 milliamp
draw. [Not picky about power sources..can't hook it up wrong and it all
comes out the same in the end. ] Electrodes designed to limit edge and
corner ion discharge for even wear and to prevent high concentration zones
in the water.

NOW A BIG THANK YOU JUST FOR READING THIS AND A HOPE THAT THOSE OF YOU
FURTHER ALONG IN THIS PROCESS WILL HAVE SOME COMPASSION AND PATIENCE TO
HELP US GET A BETTER UNDERSTANDING AND THEN BETTER CS! THANK YOU from Paula
