I've always heard to cut any oil based thing you use more oil. Sounds logical, as water and oil don't mix and just spreads the oil more. I wonder if he got better eyesight after that. I use Schulze's eye wash formula which has a LOT of cayenne tinc in it. Burns like fire in the eyes when you are not use to it--but when the stinging stops (never, ever damage so no worries) everything is bright, and the colors just pop. It's very refreshing and the eyes feel wonderful after a rinse. Many people have used this wash to get rid of cataracts and even macular degeneration.
