It's current AT a frequency.

Anything in the low voltage ranges is safe as you'll feel much discomfort before any lasting harm can occur.

The issue is about effectiveness at what cost.

Like, if you already have a CD player and can use an online tone generator to burn a CD..you can do it all for the cost of a few wires and maybe a couple of sections of copper pipe or a couple of dish pans full of salt water.
You become the speaker.

If you need more power, use the CD player as a pre-amp to modulate a transistor that will carry the desired voltages from another source. [or heck..just use the audio output of your computer to play a WAV file loop]

With a Graphics Equalizer program, you can even see what is being played and modify it.

Now THAT is "Plug n' Play" ey?

The tricky part would be protocol and they probably make that LOOK a lot more complicated than it has to be.

I'm sure they have the protocol all worked out. I don't even know if it is a current as they talk about frequencies. I haven't read the site enough to know exactly what is being done--and it's been too long since I first read it, that I don't recall what is going through the machine that works--current or a frequency.

In any case, since they have you working with your doctor with this--or recommend a doctor that already knows of these machines, I'm sure it's very safe.

I would do some research and ask some questions about using this on the hands.
