I have an OdeV counter top distiller and it works by me filling it up to the maximum line with water which I have boiled in a kettle from cold, as this speeds up brewing time. I then put on the top which has a fan in it - screw it on and plug in the plug which is attached to the top and this then allows the fan to run. I then put a container under the spout--mine is purpose made with a screw on lid with a little hole in it. The top of the distiller has a spout which fits into this hole. I tip off the first little bit of water and then just allow it to carry on until it turns itself off. This gives me three and a half litres of distilled water which is just perfect for making CS. dee

I have no idea about these things - and what I need to know.
