Steve; First off silver oxide is very difficult to make. So scratch oxidation. It is the aglomeration of the silver particles into larger units.
I brew in a clear plastic container and never wash it, just wipe it out. I have no discoloration. Off the list send me all of your brewing paramters. Do you have a meter inthe circuit?
