We let the vet talk us into spaying our nine year old Australian Cattle Dog 2 years ago. She developed urinary incontinence a few weeks later. Our first dog had that problem, too. The vet put Daisy on one pill of DES per week (which they supply) which we found makes her sick at night, so I now give 1/2 pill Sunday and 1/4 pill Wednesday. She's never had a problem since she started DES.
