I agree so much it hurts me,  Nenah Sylver,
You did great here with this down to earth splay-ing about Colloidal Silver.
Me , I would explain it like this, Most of us on this list have been around for
years, Me since the list started. But I was a firm believer in all forms of
colloidal Silver way before that. My Dad was a Rancher-Vetenarian , he made CS
back in the 40's and used it as an antiseptic, He learned it from his dad, and
we never had an infection in caster-ating or de-horning, ect.., then he started
giving it to anyone with a cold, or cut, or problem, free... We made the CS
with a tractor battery, a set of jumper cables and chunks of silver, at the
time only worth about $1.00 a raw pound. I grew up with it and was taught how
to make Colloidal Silver,  also seen it again in the Navy, where Medics used CS
on burns & wounds. I never gave it another thought until I had my own family,
of course things went up in price in 20 years, but I started my 2 kids out on
CS and we used it for every cut and cough. My kids and I are very healthy. They
are 50 & 44 years old and I
am 72 and still acting like a young country boy.

The Story we are addressing now, comes up every so often, don't worry about
Colloidal Silver, you almost can not make it wrong, distilled water, & pure
Silver + Electricity = Colloidal Silver and good health. Stand strong so they,
the ones who want all the nose bleeds, cuts & so called cancers to come to them
for treatment when you all can fix it your self.

Subject: RE: CS>RSC:The toxic effect of silver ions and silver nanoparticles
towards bacteria and human cells occurs in the same concentration range

I don’t believe that colloidal or ionic silver are
toxic to human cells. Let’s analyze the abstract, which appears below:

Silver is commonly used both in ionic form and in nanoparticulate form
as a bactericidal agent. This is generally ascribed to a higher toxicity
towards prokaryotic cells than towards mammalian cells. Comparative studies
with both silver ions (such as silver acetate) and polyvinylpyrrolidone
(PVP)-stabilized silver nanoparticles (70 nm) showed that the toxic effect of
silver occurs in a similar concentration range for Escherichia coli,
Staphylococcus aureus, human mesenchymal
stem cells (hMSCs), and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), i.e. 0.5 to
5 ppm for silver ions and
12.5 to 50 ppm for silver nanoparticles. For a better comparison, bacteria were
cultivated both in Lysogeny broth medium (LB) and in Roswell Park Memorial
Institute medium (RPMI)/10% fetal calf serum (FCS) medium, as the state of
silver ions and silver nanoparticles may be different due to the presence of
salts, and biomolecules like proteins. The effective toxic concentration of
silver towards bacteria and human cells is almost the same.

First, the authors call silver ACETATE “ionic.” This
is BS.

Second, the authors equate nanoparticles of silver with
ionic silver. This is also BS. Nano-ANYTHING significantly alters the
properties of the substance, often causing it to behave in unpredictable and
harmful ways.

Either the authors are sloppy scientists, or they are
deliberately trying to give Electrically Isolated Silver a bad name.
