Many years ago (30+) a co-worker who had great nails said she painted straight formaldehyde on her nails. I tried it but it made my nails hurt badly, so I stopped. I seem to be allergic to it. I used to quilt for people and where my forearms touched new unwashed fabric, I would get a very raw painful rash, so that is right up there with my personal refusal to use it.

But still I do things that scare some of the rigid "health" fanatics, you know the ones, anti sugar, anti-grains, anti-fruit, anti-dairy. A friend recently was completely horrified when I told her that when I need to take CS orally, I put Gatorade powder in it. OH horrors!
