I've heard that CS should be mixed with a little Xylitol in a neti pot so that it doesn't hurt. Never tried it though so I don't know if that's true or not.

Judy, this could be an individual difference, not just her opinion. Straight CS causes me a lot of discomfort used as nose drops, or in eyes. I have to add something to it so it doesn't cause pain.
