Hi all! My dear bride is a Girl Scout leader and participates in a mailing list for GS people. It's a very *BIG* list with an automatically imposed limit of 60 total postings per day to keep things under control. The moderator has to manually enable *another* 60 postings for list traffic to go any higher. (Not something I intend to implement here! <grin>)
Anyway, one of the ways in which they manage the load is to appoint a few individuals to take on small, well defined tasks that take a burden off of the list owners. Would anyone like to volunteer to handle messages such as Andrew's "HOW DO I GET OFF THIS LIST?" It would involve simply sending a friendly canned message and following up as needed. Anybody who can't get it to work you can send on to me. The only prerequisites would be that you check your e-mail often and can be patient with technically unsophisticated people. You'd be running interference for me and it would unload a small part of the job from my back. What say, any volunteers? Private e-mail, please.
