I've done it with cuticle clippers on small ones. Pinches a little at

Hi Neville
There are cuticle clippers with a curved edge, but the cutting portion
is straight - in the store right alongside the nail clippers and my
new pairs have been very sharp. I have recently been tempted to use
mine for tag snipping, but first I thought I'd try multiple
applications of Lugols iodine - just ordered it last night. A shaving
razor might also work if the tag is small.
