Hi PT,
I think I'll have to write a detailed primer, as there are so many fiddly bits
that require careful attention. This has crossed my mind, should I ever be
hospitalized, as well. Being a functioning chronic Lymie is a full-time
occupation. It's kind of like teaching someone to sew. It's not rocket science,
but tedious and exacting.

This works both ways. My husband can show me how to correct a computer problem,
and it's out of my head completely a day later. Only when I take detailed notes
can I painstakingly do what comes so easily to him. Our skills complement each
other, but our limitations do as well.

Also, he's been working very very hard taking advantage of the good September
weather to catch up on winter-readying things for the house and RV, that I
would normally have been working on as well. When he's sick, he just curls into
a ball, and wants nothing, no food, no fuss, only to be left alone, so that's
what he thinks I need when I'm sick.

If I ask for anything when I'm off my feet, he'll gladly provide it, but is
often simply not around. As a mother of two, I've learned to be a nurse to
others while sick myself, and then, to be my own nurse. I found that in these
last two weeks, this kept my lying-prone aches and pains from accumulating, and
probably also helped mobilize my lungs.

Be well,
Léna
