Neem makes a great toothpaste. I have been using it for a couple of
years now and it has helped my gums pretty much. I take a swig of cs
daily too.
I'm curious if anyone uses colloidal silver for dogs with gum disease
and tartar issues? I don't want to spend $200.00 for vet to deep clean
if I can prevent it myself. Tips anyone?
It helps with gum problems but it's not going to take off the tartar.
You need to change the dogs' diet to stop that. I raw feed mine and even
the older ones have pearly whites. They never have dirty teeth. Matter
of fact they never need a vet, haven't seen one in years. That saves me
a lot of money. Chewing raw over time will clean up the teeth naturally.
The vets push a kibble diet for a reason. It makes them a lot of money
doing teeth cleaning and fixing all the diseases feeding such a diet can
cause. Kibble (and canned commercial foods) also cause diabetes from the
high amount of carbs which dogs don't need at all. Dry food causes
kidney problems too because it's not natural for dogs to eat food with
no moisture in it. Raw fed dogs drink a whole lot less water which is
more normal.
I put cs in the dogs' water all the time. I have a dog prone to yeast
infections and as long as she drinks cs she's well.
