Even that lab will give false negatives. The test does not cover all the breeds of spirochetes out there. And what is worse this test requires your immune system to be working well enough to be able to make the markers that the test looks for. A poor immune system will NOT make the markers!
There are other also newer tests that search for Lyme DNA. One very simple test is to undergo an antibiotic challenge. You do things that would kill the disease and if it is there you get a Herx. A simple way to do this is the salt/c protocol for a week. If a herx develops then there is an underlying infection.
