35 CPM can be low or high. It depends on the size of the detector, the
energy range the detector covers, and which particles (alpha, beta,
gamma, neutron, proton Etc.) it is sensitive to.,

Joy,
Where do you live? Where I live backround is still around 35CPM give or
take. Beach areas and beach sand can go higher and higher elevations can go
higher still.

Fukushima's radiation levels are hitting all time highs. Yesterday
measuring in the 140 plus range and higher.
So - how will humanity shield itself? Will everyone now live in Faraday
cages? Won't that be bothersome not to mention downright impossible? Do
you go to the bathroom in a Faraday cage too?
Just how practical is living in a cage? And isn't that just actually
living in a prison?
