You're welcome.

That makes sense, then. <grin>

Okay, I have no experience except with my home-made, so I can't really
speculate how he's making it. My first question is whether there is
anything he adds to the water to support the process. I'm thinking
there's some salt or other used to make the water conductive.

Under those circumstances you can get those higher ppm values, but some
or most of what you make are silver compounds.

Unless he's doing something really novel that I haven't heard about...

The process we recommend here is long, slow deposition of silver in pure
water, at low concentrations (less than 20 ppm generally) and low
current densities. The result is a mixed ionic/particulate that is
clear, colorless and usually stable over time.

I'd say that's a good hunch. Dental infections are nasty, even if
low-grade. They release toxins into the system that can have all sorts
of nasty and sometimes subtle effects.

Any time antibiotics are used, that's a good precaution. You're a good
dog parent! <smile>

Since the count was going down with just the silver before you started
the antibiotic, then you'll probably see continued good results.

I've never used either, or bought any other silver product. I make my
own with a home-made generator.

As far as I know from others' reports, both work. There doesn't seem to
be much difference between ionic and particulate performance overall,
though there seems to be a few areas where one or the other works a bit
better.

My thought is that any decently made silver preparation is effective
enough that it's more important to use *something* than to worry over
slight differences.

Best of luck with your canine companion!

Be well!
