I looked up the LOVE and OdeV distillers. Smaller would be nice, but I don’t
like the sound of some people’s experience with similar looking units
<http://elingreso.com/2009/02/02/love-water-distiller-review/> . Thought I’d
pass it on FYI. It may come down to buying once (for more money, and quite a
bit more space to in the case of the Mini Classic CT which has reputation for
lasting a long time) vs. buying something cheaper more often.

Best regards,
Walter

A smaller option might have been nice… The “Mini” Classic CT is indeed not
mini! We don’t have much space either and put it away between uses which is a
bit of a pain.

Related question: is there any reason NOT to use RO (reverse osmosis) water to
feed the distiller? We understand it may not be the healthiest to drink
long-term, but it seems that it would be a simple way to come up with cleaner
distilled water on the first pass as well as limited scale build-up in the
distiller.

Best regards,
Walter

I would make sure that it has 100% stainless steel interior. Some do not.

LOVE brand table top distillers are popular.
Distilling water:
Don't over fill...1/2 to 3/4 full
Remove and post process filters
Use pre process filters
discard the first cup
