My understanding is that CS blocks the cell receptors that a virus uses as an entryway to hijack the cells DNA in order to replicate..and the white blood cells, not being preoccupied with cleaning up damage encapsulate and carry the non bonded viri out.
Can't 'kill' something that isn't alive, makes logical sense.
