No cancer is not a virus, but there are viruses that cause cancer. This has been known for years. When I was a child my parents had a friend close to the family who died of cancer, and the doctor told the family that she had a dormant virus that suddenly became activated and took her quickly.
I worked in a cancer research lab as a HS student, and the PhD's I worked for confirmed this info to me, as I was curious about it.
