There is about 20 seconds after a shift that things unwind then rewind

This is impacted when stirring is used, right? The ions should be
getting washed away within seconds of being generated. So if stirring
is used, there should be very little rewind time. Am I correct on this
assumption?
A one minute cycle will be quite slow.
A five minute cycle with 20 seconds missing is a lot faster.
You will want the electrodes far enough away from each other that the
ions don't make it all the way to the other side during the cycle.

Hi there:
Just wondering if anyone has done any experimenting
with the timing for polarity reversal. Not doubting the 1 minute
at all. But at that rate, that would be 60 cycles an hour, and 600
cycles for a 10 hour brew. Since I make several brews at a time,
that is a lot of wear and tear on the relays. Does anyone know the
lifetime cycles those relays can handle before failure? I am going
to be using a DH 48S-2Z unit from Amazon.
Thank you... Regards Grant.
