Dear Jeannine, You poor thing!I had a similar episode triggered by a mattress kindly donated to our household.Being unfamiliar with asthma,I took three days before going to a doctor...by that time I was nearly dead(at least felt like that),and was a nasty gray colour.....many years before cs.... That episode has kept me on asthma meds now for 7 years..... First,I'd check your dwelling for dust harbouring materials bedding,carpets,curtains,clothing...new/old/lent/whatever.See if you have acquired such an item in the last 10 weeks or so. And cs via a nebuliser may help...if it involves a chest infection the addition of a small quantity..eg 2g msm to 5ml cs will aid penetration of airways. As for buteyko(sp),there is a site which details the method...sorry no address on me but do a search on the net..not too hard to find.I had a go at it....and ,yes it does work but takes a while of practicing to work it properly,so...good for long term asthmatics.
