Hi, I am new to this list and the use of CS. I have been using herbs/vitamins for about 10 yrs to treat our family of 7. About 2 months ago my 4 year old daughter came down with a strange cough (strange to me at least - coughing so hard that it completely took breath away & with the little one triggering her gag reflex every time, so that she was always throwing up.) I couldn't seem to get rid of through my normal methods of vit. C, A&D, echinacea/goldenseal, blue-green algae, Transfer Factor and anything else I could think of that I had on hand. Usually I do all this and whatever is trying to get us, doesn't or leaves within in a couple of days. This stayed. And spread. My 7 yr old got it and I got it. Finally, it got better, but didn't leave. Last week or two, everyone in the house seemed to come down with this yucky cough cold thing and Constance(my 4 yr old) started getting worse again. Again, I started giving more of all the healthy stuff including grapefruit seed extract. She got a fever, wouldn't go down, so ended up going to the hospital. She had pneumonia in her right lung. We are now home. I am frustrated. How do we get whatever it is out of our lives? As you might guess, with 5 children, we don't have a lot of money? Suggestions?
