Fine particle-0.5 to 10 nM CS with an apparently high Zeta charge appears
to be unchanged by storage in High Density Polyethylene containers.

The HDPE resin is rated "Excellent" for storage of distilled water and
serum products; blood.

I have seen no yellowing of HVAC CS [Marx process] stored in HDPE.

Although I have not spent much time at it, it is not easy to get
information on resin surface charge characteristics.

I avoid PVC, for the usual reason; some of it in the past has been shown to
release plasticizers (sp?) into water.

As for clear glass v. amber; the main effect of the dark glass is to hide
the occasional floating bits [I want to build a filtered-air flow-hood]
which get into open containers during transfer of the liquid and to have a
perhaps more "medicinal" appearance.

Why would this bottle turn the CS yellow? I bought a gallon of CS and want
to give some to relatives and keep a small amount handy to use in a spray
bottle. If a little DW would contaminate the container, I assume washing a
container with well water from the sink would be worse. What can it be
safely stored in? If it doesn't have a spray lid, then does it contaminate
the CS to put a tissue on the bottle to get some? It seems like whatever
is
in the tissue could get in the CS. Are these ridiculous questions and
should
I not worry about how it is stored? Is any container OK? Thanks in advance
for your help.
