Dear Listers, 2 weeks ago I got a zit, I think, in my left ear canal. Last night at 2 AM I went to the ER, as suddenly I can`t hear in that ear at all. I have been taking CS internally, and putting some in the canal with a Qtip, but it hasn`t helped. The thing did pop about 4 or 5 days ago, and has been draining a clear but bloody fluid since. The doc gave me some drops with cortisone and antibiotic to put in, but I don`t know how long it should take to notice any effect. Anyone have any ideas?? Boy, this is miserable... Marsha in Vallejo
