We are running about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 inch spacing. We use a 15 KV neon sign transformer (actually 4 in parallel), which when properly loaded to 25-30 mA each produces right at 10 Kv. The water is introduced at 32 F, and the flow rate is adjusted for the ppm we want. The electrode exposure is adjusted for 10KV. Both current and voltage are metered.
