Hello Marshall, Aloe Vera is acidic, and CS doesn't like acidic, as you know. I know that I could add bicarb. but that would be an additive. Have you found another way to deal with acid and CS?
I would very much like to make a salve, not the gelatin one, but am unable to trace a complete recipe. You don't happen to know what to do with CS/Lecithin/Glycerine etc. do you. Lavender and Calendula are both good skin herbs and are so alkaline that the CS seems to act synergistically, you can even feel the softness of the solution. The added bonus is that I can grow these herbs myself. We have a plant called Sempervirens, which is a succulent the same as Aloe V., which is also a good skin herb, but again acidic. Any recipes would be gratefully received. On 28 Aug 2000, at 11:54, Marshall Dudley wrote: > Try adding aloe vera.
