Ha folks,
My apologies - I keep forgetting small details like the fact that not
everyone grew up in Oz a hundred or so years ago like me!

Wog as used there, is a generic term for bacteria/infective medium.
But, I have been unable to determine HOW "wog" came to mean bacterial
infection. Vis: "I can't go to work today - I have the (bloody) wog",
translates as " I have a cold/flu/(hangover) ".
NB: "Bloody" is not specific - it is used simply for emphasis = "very bad".
Can also be used as positive emphasis: " Bloody good day!"

BUT see my last post! Responding to
Harsha..................................... he is also correct.

Cheers,

John
