I reported on this before. Two years ago I did a test of putting CS in the water and using ordinary tap water. To make a long story short, the tree without CS begun dropping needles within 2 days, and had dropped all needles in about 2 weeks. The tree that was watered with 5 ppm CS kept it's needles for about 3 1/2 months with virtually no needle dropping for the first two to three months.
