Ivan: OK let's stop here because I think if I can get you to explain the above statement more thoroughly I won't have to muddle through the rest of your response. I was quite sure your said that in your opinion only ionic silver can enter cells where it would then be available to destroy pathogens, and that CS cannot do that. Please straighten me out if I misrepresented what you have said in the past. If the previous statement is essentially correct, I have a hard time understanding why the IV administration of CS should do any better than the oral approach since in both cases the body has to first convert the CS to the ionic form. Why should the body have a tougher time doing this for orally ingested CS as opposed the CS administered through an IV? And for the sake of simplicity lets assume we are holding the CS particle size constant in both cases; perhaps a relatively poorly formed products of the 1930's. Roger Your reasoning stops short of a complete statement Roger, you seem to be saying that if you take a low quality CS and inject it and its effectiveness is then high, then the action of silver is not only ionic. What you have actually established is that this colloid works better when injected than when not, nothing more. You have not established that the original silver had no ionic component? So far your idea of a particularly high effectiveness when injected has relevence only to the inefectiveness of the same colloid when used in another manner. Is its effectiveness high in relation to an injected high quality colloid? It seems 'a given' that the effectiveness of any colloid will increase when injected, but as I said in the first message : "However, there may well be a difference in effectiveness between different types of silver colloids when introduced this way." Ivan. BTW, the reason that Silverlon bandages work (95% pure silver 5% silver oxide) is that they release silver ions into the tissue... the action of silver is plainly due to its interaction with other molecules or compounds, the ability to do so pretty much requires the silver to be in the form of ions. >> -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
