Let me take this opportunity to thank you all for your encouragement
and appreciation.

Each time there's a "crisis" of this sort I learn a bit more. This time
around I've identified more of the things I have to know to have a
basic grounding in UNIX, the sofware environment in which the list
runs. The next time I'll be just a little less helpless.

It also opens at least the possibility that I can move ahead on some
of the improvements I see as worthwhile, but that I've long put off for
lack of time and experience.

Like everyone here, I've got a busy life with many demands on my time.
However we all get to choose our priorities, and I know that the
silver-list helps people, very directly at times. This is of great
value to me and will keep me involved.

So, let's keep at it. Today there are new folks tuning in and wanting
to ask questions. Tomorrow there will be more. Let us continue to help
them and each other.

Be well,

Mike D.
