Hi The virus info that was sent is a hoax. If it was sent by a company warning you of it, they would have a link to go to for you to view all about the virus..
There are unfortunately e-mail virus that are nasty, that you don't know are a virus until you click on them. This is just the way it goes. Don't open any e-mails with attachments unless you know who they are from. Standard practice! Some you are just not going to avoid.
