Hi Janet, The chiropractor could conceiveable get his back in place but as far as helping the hernia, I rather expect not. If the back could and would stay in place it would reduce the pressure on that area but it will still take the time to repair with the adjuncts. I know of no therapy other than what has already been described which will enable the mending. The surgeons will use a stainless steel screen to hold it together which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
