Bob, the Macadamia nut is a native nut of Australia. And... we were not as clever as the Yanks or the Hawiians to have realized their true potential. They are are now synonymous with Hawaii. Just like Chinese Gooseberrys or Kiwi Fruit, the New Zealanders have commercialised them world wide. Ah, those clever Kiwi's. Pity they're such sore loosers on the cricket pitch!! And they're having trouble on the Rugby field too!!
