Dear Susan, Even my .999 fine silver makes the fuzz. It is silver oxide, I think, from the hydrolysis taking place. I don`t even worry about it. I wipe my wires off after 30 minutes, then let it work for another half hour. I never filter my CS. (Or stir it, or heat the water.) It tastes slightly funny, as DW tastes funny. I don`t mind it. My daughter-in-law really notices the taste! I guess we`re all different... I think your CS is probably just fine! If you don`t like the taste, put it in juice or something.
