Extreme, unresponsive neuropathic pain affects over
1,000,000 U.S. citizens, on a continuous basis. Many gain only
moderate---or less---relief from the most powerful opiates. Several
groups of Australian researchers have been successful in isolating some
very powerful conotoxin fractions (especially from a marine cone snail
identified as conus magus) that have proved to be 500 to 1000 times as
effective as Morphine. The substance is not addictive and synthesis of
the most effective fractions appears achievable in the immediate
