Dear Judith,
I use mailcat as a mailreader. It has sucked since y2k, just after
midnight last New Years eve we began to get mail dated from several years in
the
past and since then it has been an unpredictable program, crashing at random
times sometimes incessantly and having to be reinstalled and reindexed which
is
very irritating. I have cursed it all year. But husband wanted us
to keep it as it is a very virus proof program.
But it has become so annoying and has no customer suport anymore, that we are
even now as I speak downloading and evaluating some new e-mail
programs.
But no matter what mailcat does in the way of its own screwups it is virutaly
virus proof, has a built in firewall that it impervious. I am not sure
how
or why but my resident computer expert says it is so. So do not worry about
catching viruses from me. We hope to find another mailreader as virus
proof as mailcat and hopefully more reliable.
