Yes I've tried putting CS in their water over a long period. I have a
retirement village of Old English Game - once my blue boy died the old
girls are gradually going too. I have more breeds than I can cope
with - so they are going as their eggs are too small.

The Indian Game produce a bigger egg - and I love the chicks with
'goal-post' legs.

I have Japanese for amusement [ a small black and white bantam with a
tail like a sail] - when they escape their cry is like a naughty
laugh. Very clucky so useful.

I had Welsummer, Austrolorp, and Plymouth Rocks - but I've stopped
breeding them - just have some elderlies I can't bear to part with.
Currently I am using Bruins for egg laying. Very pretty, over
friendly, but 'don't pick me up' ... ginger and white girls. Of
course I've the odd UFO's as well. [Unidentified Flying Objects..]

Regards,
Judith.
