Marshall: Most assuredly. That's part of the plan, but in the meantime, the odds are that metal ions (corrosion chemistry suggests copper or zinc, but let's see) are entering the water. Incidentally, I believe ionic copper, which would be present in silver coinage, is a germicide as well as ionic silver. This possibility, if proven to be correct, would come as a surprise to many of us who thought that the silver in precious metal coins was the only active germicide.
