Second, Exxon/Mobil and other large refiners send their gasoline to tank farms which then supply most of the local stations. Variations in gasoline brand are made by adding substances to the gasoline at the time the tank truck is filled or when the underground tanks at the stations are filled. IOW, unless you know exactly which company fills the tank farms you won't know who supplies the gas for your local station.
