A waveshaper that ensures a good square wave even from a sine wave.

And an updated rife freq generator program that will use the sound card OR
the built-in speaker of your computer.

Subject: freqgen 1.02 (use your PC as a frequency generator)

I've uploaded Version 1.02 of freqgen to:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rifers/files

freqgen turns your PC into a frequency generator under Windows
95/98/ME/NT/XP.

If there is a sound card present in your PC then freqgen uses it,
otherwise freqgen uses your PC's internal speaker.

Your PC, with freqgen and the hardware to turn the signal from
your soundcard into the right waveform/voltage, can be used either
to drive a Bare/Rife device, or as a pad/contact frequency device.

I'm making the software freely available because I want someone
who knows electronics to design the above mentioned hardware
and to make this design freely available.

As an example, if you want to run all the frequencies associated
with parasites then you would do something like the following:
        freqgen -f data/parasites*

When extracting the contents of the .zip file you should maintain
the directory structure.  For example:
        pkzip -extract -directory=current freqgen1_02.zip
where pkzip is shareware program downloadable from
        http://www.pkware.com

freqgen can be used in one of the three following ways:

   freqgen [X] -f frequency_file [frequency_file [...]]
or
   freqgen [X] -s sweep_start,sweep_end,sweep_increment[,sweep_duration]
or
   freqgen [X] frequency[,duration] [frequency[,duration] [...]]

where [X] is:
   [[-b bracket] ...] [[-o offset] ...] [-i] [-v volume] [-V]

Options:
   "-b bracket" outputs the specified frequencies by "+/-bracket"
       NOTE: this option can be repeated many times
       NOTE: a "bracket" of 0 means output the specified frequencies
   "-o offset" outputs the specified frequencies by "+offset"
       NOTE: "offset" can be negative
       NOTE: this option can be repeated many times
       NOTE: a "offset" of 0 means output the specified frequencies
   "-i" forces freqgen to use the internal speaker;
        default behaviour is to use a sound card if one is present
   "-v volume" sets the volume if the sound card is used;
        possible values range from 0.0 (off) to 1.0 (full);
        default value is 0.5
   "-V" prints version information
        default behaviour is to use a sound card if one is present

The "-o offset" and "-b bracket" options were added because of the
following information found in the "Consumer Guide To Rife Generators":

:In any pure culture there are always mutant strains,
:typically about 20% of the microbes present.
:These do not respond to the center frequency,
:but to a frequency of 1 to 2 hertz off the center.

NOTE: only frequencies in the range 37-32767 are supported

NOTE: if a duration is "X" seconds then the associated frequency will
      run for at least "X" seconds and no more than "X+1" seconds

NOTE: all durations are optional;
      if omitted then the default duration of 180 seconds is used
