Larry; The CS process requires DC. If you use an AC transformer then you must add a full wave bridge to convert to DC.
One can run constant current even with three 9 volt batteries using the LM 317T and a resistor to set the current limit. What in the thunder are you doning with a 18,000 rpm motor. You want the 1 1/2 volt $0.99 motor. Slow the motor down with 3 ten ohm resistors in parallel in one motor lead and use a 1 1/2 volt battery or get the All Electronics speed control for $3.50.
